Founded as Global Aircraft Delivery in 2000 by two retired airline pilots, the company served a single leasing company in repositioning its aircraft for customer transitions. Global has experienced rapid growth by providing reliable, cost-effective solutions for placing both new and used jet aircraft into service around world.

In 2007, the company was acquired by Kenneth A. Moninski and changed its name to Global Aircraft Services. That same year Global relocated its corporate headquarters to larger offices in the Seattle suburb of Tukwila, Washington with an eye towards future growth and the expansion of its service offerings.
